How much does a .bd domain cost in Bangladesh?
A .bd domain costs ৳1,280 for the first year and ৳1,600 a year to renew, for names of three letters or more. Two-letter names cost ৳55,000 to register. These are BTCL’s rates before VAT, and the 36% discount behind the first-year price is limited-time, so check the price on the day you order.
How long does it take to get a .bd domain?
BTCL usually approves complete applications within 1 to 3 business days after payment. We file within about two hours of receiving the correct documents during support hours. If BTCL asks for something extra, it takes longer.
What if BTCL rejects my application?
We’ll tell you the reason and help you fix it. The usual causes are blurry scans, an expired trade licence, or a name that doesn’t match the applicant’s. Registration fees are non-refundable once BTCL has processed the application, so getting your documents checked first is worth it. Our refund policy has the details.
What happens if I forget to renew?
BTCL can suspend your domain’s DNS, which takes your website and email offline, and a ৳700 late fee applies. If it stays unpaid after the grace period, the domain can be released for anyone to register. We email you before the due date, and you can renew months ahead.
